The Day My Little Sister Tied the Knot

The morning started with a few dramas, the bride turned into bridezilla but I didn't expect anything less from the youngest child in the family. Hair is very important, and if it doesn't have that special bounce, oh we have trouble. But we got there in the end, there was a wedding after all. The ceremony was held at the beautiful Ripponlea Estate in Melbourne on a hot summers day. I absolutely adore the place with the old mansion and picturesque gardens, a perfect setting for a wedding. My sister looked amazing in her Mariana Hardwick dress, the guests were all in awe, particularly the groom who couldn't stop smiling the entire day. There was lots of tears that day, whilst walking down the 'aisle' with my dad beside her, the tissues were already out before any words were exchanged! But that's when you know it's love, when you feel so much and everyone around you share the emotion and happiness. My sister's speech at the reception left everyone dabbing their eyes, was really wonderful. The whole wedding was beautiful, the little details she thought about made all the difference. The lovely chalk boards welcoming guests (handwritten by me!), the petals on the ground, the desserts table (created by my older sister Van) and the drinks table. Those who were there know the dramas we had with the refreshment table but it did look so pretty once set up. I also have to mention my cute nephew and niece who nearly stole the show! Love them to bits in their outfits. The wedding was angelic, only thing is it went by so quickly. But as my sister said 'The day was surreal and these pictures really remind me of all the special little moments'. We can relive the day through the many photos captured and from the memories we keep. Congratulations to my little sister and her new husband xx
