Wedding Reception: Andaz Hotel, 1901 Ballroom

Ian & Maureen's beautiful and emotional wedding at Westminster Register Office at the Mayfair Library followed by celebrations at Percy & Founders. The party then really kicked off at the Andaz Hotel in the grand 1901 Ballroom. 

​

The day started with bridal preparations at the couple's home. Maureen had her family there from the States and was joined by her two close girlfriends. One of them had flown over and surprised her, must have been the best wedding gift ever! You can't get married without your best friend, well you can but this way is much nicer. The wedding dress was something borrowed, from her best friend. The brooch bouquet was pretty special and amazing! Made from 120 unique brooches, from 20 states and 30 families (Maureen you need to give me the numbers again, think I just made that all up!).

Ian and Maureen got married at the Mayfair Library in front of close family and friends. It was an emotional ceremony with lots of tears, smiles and laughter. First look at the bride and the groom was overwhelmed with emotion, it was such a special moment to witness, The bride was also in tears. There was so much love and feeling, I felt so honoured to be there and to capture these memories. 

 

After the wedding ceremony we were picked up in a vintage red bus to take us to Percy & Founders for the wedding breakfast. There were heartfelt speeches from father of the bride, groom and few of his mates. I do love the speeches part, you get to know the wedding couple more and the journey they had been on before they met each other. The celebrations continued at the Andaz Hotel where we were joined by more friends. This historic building dates back to 1884, providing a unique London wedding venue with both modern and classic Victorian interiors. The 1901 Ballroom where they had their party was just stunning. Maureen's friends had done a great job setting up the venue with the littles details. It was great wedding celebration with lots of music and dancing that lasted all night. And if the ladies had sore feet from the high heels, there were flip flops just for that. So there was no excuse to not get out there and shake it off!
