Great Fosters Hotel, Stroude Road, Egham, Surrey TW20 9UR
Wedding Venue: Great Fosters Hotel
Wedding Ceremony: The Orangerie, Great Fosters
Wedding Reception: Tithe Barn
Wedding Dress: Angelica Bridal
Flowers: The Fine Flowers Company
What I love about the UK is the incredible wedding places you can get married in. This was my first wedding at Great Fosters and it was a photographer's dream location. This romantic hotel in Surrey is the perfect setting to tie the knot. Great Fosters is a Grade One listed building set amongst acres and acres of stunning gardens, every corner I turned felt like a new discovery.
Lindsay looked amazing in her lace wedding dress from Angelica Bridal. The bridesmaids were dressed in lovely pastel themed dresses with spring flowers to compliment the theme. There were no flower girls but the cutest pair of page boys, adorable brothers with their blue bow ties! They did a perfect job walking down the aisle hand in hand. Lindsay & Neil said I do in The Orangery Room in front of close family and friends. There was a feeling of excited anticipation on the groom's face and also the guests at that moment. Those first few seconds when we are about to get a glimpse of the bride. There were lots of giggles especially when it came to stating the bride's full name, even the bride got mixed up herself! It was a lovely ceremony, I am so honoured to be part of a couple's special day. I enjoyed every moment of it.
The wedding reception was held in the Tithe Barn, adorned with round paper lanterns, fairly lights and more gorgeous flowers. What an amazing Great Fosters Wedding. It was such a beautiful setting to celebrate, drink, dance and be very merry. A really wonderful wedding.
What stressed you out? Firstly trying to get to sleep the night before the wedding, that was very challenging as you are filled with a mix of emotions, nerves, excitement and are in disbelief that the following day is the wedding! I wasn't too keen on having a lot of wedding guests stopping by my room to say hello when I was getting ready, I didn't want them to see the dress before I walked down the aisle. Walking down the aisle was also one of the most nerve-racking things I have ever done, that moment when it's all eyes on you is immense!
'The most memorable part of the day was walking down the aisle, getting ready and being presented with all my amazing flowers!'
What made you choose the wedding venue? For us, Great Fosters ticked all the boxes. We wanted a single venue to host both the ceremony and reception, which also included accommodation. It had stunning grounds, and the rooms fit perfectly with our wedding theme and our personal style. Great Fosters also had incredible reviews in terms of service, food and quality, so we knew we would be in good hands and were not disappointed.

Afternoon Tea at Great Fosters Hotel, Surrey
I fell in love with this wedding venue when I was there to capture Neil & Lindsay's wedding. I loved it so much that when my mum and sisters was visiting London from Australia, I took them to Great Fosters for afternoon tea. It is not too far out from London and so easy to get here by train. We all had a fantastic afternoon tea experience, we only wished we had had more space to eat all the cute desserts! At least we were able to take them away, but note the cakes don't travel too well. Best to eat as much as you can! The scones are heavenly.
